Crispy & Caramelized Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Brussel sprouts as tasty as French fries? These brussels sprouts are a deliciously versatile side that balance crispy crunch with a tangy twinge that can only be described as wholesome. The recipe can be adapted to any number of vegetables, including root vegetables. Perfect for people on the fence about their veggies.


PREP TIME: 05 MIN

COOK TIME: 30 MIN


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb brussels sprouts

  • 3 tbsp. Nal’s Kitchen Honey Ginger Dressing

  • 2 tbsp. oil

  • 1/2 tsp. or to taste coarse salt

  • 1/4 tsp. or to taste pepper

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 

  2. Wash don't pat dry, and trim the bottom of brussels sprouts. Cut in half and put into a large mixing bowl.  

  3. Drizzle with oil. Sprinkle salt & pepper and mix well.

  4. Spread brussels sprouts cut side down on a baking pan, careful not to overcrowd. Place the pan in the oven and roast for approximately 25 minutes until they start to brown and crisp.

  5. Remove from the oven and put into a mixing bowl.  Add Honey Ginger Dressing to the sprouts and mix to ensure evenly coated.

  6. Transfer to a dish and serve.

Caramelization (optional)

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F 

  2. Follow all the above steps. Remove from oven slightly before done and after coating the sprouts with Honey Ginger Dressing put it back into the oven for 30 seconds to 1 minute.  Watch carefully to avoid burn.

  3. Transfer to a dish and serve.
