Family Style Ground Meat Casserole

Nothing says “home-cooked meal” like a casserole. Our honey ginger dressing infuses a homemade classic with zesty tang that’s sure to make any weeknight dinner stand out. It is impressive, understated, delicious and sure to please the whole household.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb. Ground turkey or meat of choice

  • ⅓ of a 15 oz. can of tomato sauce

  • ¼ - ½ cup finely chopped onions

  • 3 - 4 tbsp. of Nal’s Kitchen Honey Ginger Dressing

  • 1-2 tbsp of oil

  • Season with salt & pepper to taste

  • 12 oz. egg noodles

  • 1 cup of cheese (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cook egg noodles as per instruction on the packet and put them aside.

  2. Add 1-2 tbsp. of oil to the pan.

  3. Add onions and sauté on medium heat for a couple of minutes till the onions turn translucent.

  4. Add ground meat and sauté till brown and fully cooked through.

  5. Add Honey Ginger Dressing and mix well.

  6. Add tomato sauce, season with salt and pepper, and stir to combine.

  7. Add the cooked egg noodles to the pan and mix well.

  8. Preheat oven to 400°F

  9. Pour ground meat and noodle mixture into a baking pan and sprinkle with cheese.

  10. Cover the baking pan with foil and poke a few holes on top, and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese melts.

  11. Let it stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Tip: Peas, beans, and carrots can be added after onions are sauteéd and just before adding ground meat for an even healthier option.
